Laboratory Testing

The Testing Centre of ECOEXPERT LLP has extensive experience in both laboratory and field testing. Initially, the laboratory had only a few instruments - a gamma spectrometer and auxiliary equipment. Therefore, one of the first licences was obtained for radiological testing. To this day the LLP still holds this licence. Currently it is called "Provision of services in the field of atomic energy use".

In order to improve the quality of work performed and the number of parameters measured, the company's management is constantly aiming to expand the testing centre. Our laboratory has been accredited for over 15 years. During all this time the staff of the testing centre has regularly undergone scheduled inspections, repeated re-accreditations and expansion procedures. The testing centre is accredited in the management system and works in accordance with the international standard GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019.

The main focus of the centre's activity is to carry out works in the environmental field. The Testing Centre (TC) develops in the same direction and in the field of accreditation tests of ecological character prevail, measurements of ecological environmental objects are carried out. The TC relies on the licence ‘Performance of works and provision of services in the field of environmental protection’ to carry out environmental protection works.

The LLP has recently obtained a licence for "Surveying Activities". Subspecies of licensed activities are engineering-geological and engineering-hydrogeological works, engineering-geodesic works.

In all aspects of its activities, the Testing Centre strives to obtain quality results, in accordance with the normative documentation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and positive feedback from customers.

Analysis of atmospheric air quality in residential and working areas

Analysis of atmospheric air

Our laboratory has been measuring atmospheric air for over 10 years. The company's accreditation area includes many pollutant indicators.

Gas analysers GANK-4, Aeroqual Series 500, indicator tubes, etc. are used to determine the mass concentration of harmful substances in the atmospheric air and air of the working zone. Determination of heavy metals, soot in the air is carried out by sampling on air filters using an aspirator with further sample preparation and laboratory analysis.

Conducting instrumental measurements of harmful substances emissions into the atmosphere

To determine the impact of industrial enterprises, measurements of pollutants in the waste gases of fuel-burning plants are carried out using the DAG-510-MV gas analyser.

Testing of wastewater, drinking and natural waters

Chemical analysis of water

According to quality standards, a distinction is made between:

• drinking water,

• natural waters (water bodies for drinking, cultural, domestic and fishery purposes)

• Wastewater (normatively treated, wastewater of unknown origin, storm water).

Testing Centre of ECOEXPERT LLP carries out chemical and radiological analysis of water of various types for citizens and organisations. For such kind of tests a wide range of equipment is used, including: liquid analyser A7051 (Anion 7000 series), ion-selective electrodes, photoelectric photometer KFK-3-01, spectrophotometer PE-5400VI, liquid analyser Fluorat-02-2M, analytical voltammetric complex STA-3-UV, alpha-beta radiometer UMF-2000, gamma-spectrometer with high-resolution semiconductor detector. The accreditation area of the Testing Centre includes more than 60 indicators of various chemical substances in water.

Conducting soil surveys

In TC of ECOEXPERT LLP soil is analysed for the content of such heavy metals as vanadium, chromium, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, arsenium, strontium, lead, as well as some heavy metal oxides. For this purpose an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, atomic absorption analyser is used.

In addition to the above tests, the TC also tests soil for 17 indicators by chemical methods.

Taking measurements of physical factors affecting the human body

Microclimate measurement

Microclimate parameters are: Indoor air temperature, Relative air humidity, Air velocity, Thermal load of the environment (TNS-index). These physical factors are measured using Meteoskop-M instruments, anemometer TKA-PKM(50), thermometers.

Illuminance measurement

In addition to illuminance, the TC measures: light brightness (illuminance of the working surface, glare index, reflected brilliance), illuminance ripple factor. With the help of measuring instruments TKA-PKM (06) and TKA-PKM (09) combined instrument (Luxmeter) it is possible to perform these tests.

Measurement of electromagnetic fields

In order to measure the levels of EMF of high frequency (300 MHz - 18GHz), ECOEXPERT LLP uses the device "Electromagnetic field energy flux density meter P3-33M" (NTM "Protection").

For measurements of EMF levels of industrial frequency 50 Hz and frequency range from 5 Hz to 400 kHz the device "Meter of parameters of electric and magnetic fields three-component VE-METR" (NTM "Protection") is used.

To measure EMF levels from computers, the device "Meter of magnetic and electric field parameters VE-METR-AT-002" (Russia, 2015) is used.

Measurement of thermal radiation

If there are thermal sources in the production room in the immediate vicinity of the workplace, the measurement is carried out using the Thermal (infrared) irradiance meter "TKA-ITO"

Measurement of aeroions

Control of aeroion composition of the air of industrial and public premises shall be carried out not earlier than 1 hour after the beginning of the working shift when carrying out technological production processes typical for the controlled object. Our employees use for this purpose a small-size aeroion counter MAS-01 device.

Measurements of vehicle toxicity

To carry out work on measuring the toxicity of emissions from motor vehicles, the laboratory of ECOEXPERT LLP uses the following instruments:

1. Multicomponent gas analyser "Autotest 01-03P" (CJSC NPF "Meta", Russia)

2. Exhaust Gas Smoke Meter META-01 MP.01 (CJSC NPF "Meta", Russia)

Sample analysis for PCB content (oil, water, soil)

The laboratory of ECOEXPERT LLP offers the service of PCB analysis in oil, soil and water samples. PCB analysis is carried out within the framework of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants implementation.

PCB analysis is the second step in conducting a PCB Inventory of oily equipment. The tests are performed using the L2000DX analyser (DEXSIL Corporation)

Radiological (radiation) studies

Measurement of radon, thoron and EEVA (Equivalent Equilibrium Volumetric Activity)

Radon (and thoron) is a radioactive heavy gas that has no colour or smell. It is already soluble in water at room temperature. Its solubility is 460 ml/l, which is much higher than the solubility of other lighter noble gases. Radon is measured both in air, water and soil. The following instruments are used for measurements: Measuring complex for monitoring radon, thoron and their daughter products "Alpharad Plus", Radon radiometer "RAMON-RADON-01" combined in a single case.

Measurements of radioactivity (alpha, beta, gamma and X-rays)

All 4 types of radiation can be dangerous to humans under certain conditions. As they are not perceptible to the body, they must be monitored. Alpha, beta, gamma and X-rays are measured by means of: X-ray and gamma radiation dosimeter DKS AT1123, Dosimeter-radiometer MKS-AT1117M, Alpha-beta radiometer UMF-2000, Spectrometric complex "Progress - BG".

Detailed radiological analysis of water

The result of the analysis for drinking water is the calculation of the radiation safety factor. It is calculated from the sum of all nuclides included in the water composition taking into account the norms and inherent errors obtained during the analysis. Laboratory tests are carried out using Alpha Beta radiometer UMF-2000, gamma spectrometer with high resolution semiconductor detector. Serious radiochemical sample preparation is required for the deployed radiological analysis of water.

Radionuclide analysis of samples (building materials, water, soil, air, food)

Radionuclide analyses are carried out for a wide range of materials, products, soils, soils, rocks, ores, waste, drilling, oil sludge, petroleum products, metal and wood products, etc. Testing of these types of samples is carried out using: Spectrometric complex "Progress - BG", gamma-spectrometer with semiconductor detector of high resolution, Dosimeter-radiometer MKS-AT1117M, Alpha-beta radiometer UMF-2000.
